The City of Angels experienced widespread celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-game World Series championship. Fans across the globe united with local residents in celebration, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Local events included a downtown parade on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage depict countless of Los Angeles residents flooding city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy high.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” the star player stated through an translator.
The procession path concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the players emerged to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard providing music and the artist driving a Pacific blue classic car around the field.

Celebrations started well before the parade, with Dodgers fans lighting fireworks in the streets of the city center on Sunday night.
The World Series MVP, named the MVP of the championship, commented plainly about the win.

The championship acted as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An approximate quarter-million people attended to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, supporters this year showed as much if not more support.
“It seems it’s nearly twice from last year,” Freeman remarked. “These fans are crazy. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
